SALEM, Ore. (AP) - Oregon’s parole board plans another hearing on whether to release an inmate who killed a Beaverton classmate in 1990.

The Oregonian reports (https://bit.ly/1nYRBLa ) the board wants another psychological evaluation of Conrad Engweiler, focusing on “psychosexual risk factors.”

The board held a hearing last week, and Executive Director Brenda Carney says it will meet again Aug. 26.

Engweiler was convicted of murder, rape and sodomy in the strangulation of 16-year-old Erin Tonna Reynolds when he was 15.

Because Oregon law at the time didn’t address sentencing guidelines for juveniles convicted of aggravated murder, Engweiler has filed repeated appeals of his sentence.
