ROMULUS, Mich. (AP) - Detroit Metropolitan Airport is getting more than $14.8 million to help with runway improvements.

The grant from the U.S. Department of Transportation was announced last week by U.S. Sens. Debbie Stabenow and Carl Levin of Michigan.

Stabenow and Levin said in a statement that improvements at the airport in Romulus will boost business activity and tourism.
