NEW LONDON, Conn. (AP) - A 34-year-old Queens, New York, man has been convicted of murder in a 2011 shooting in Norwich.

The Norwich Bulletin reports (https://bit.ly/Tmnb93 ) Daquan Holmes was found guilty Monday of murdering Johnny Amy and attempting to murder Amy’s friend, Joseph Cadet on May 21, 2011.

Prosecutors say Holmes shot at the two men, hitting Amy in the head, after confronting them on the street. Witnesses testified Holmes believed Amy and Cadet were two of those involved in an argument with him earlier in the evening.



Holmes faces up to 60 years in prison when his is sentenced in July.
