LOVELAND, Colo. (AP) - Authorities in Larimer County are investigating an attempted abduction of a 10-year-old boy.

It happened Saturday afternoon in the Campion area south of Loveland.

The sheriff’s office says a young man approached the boy at a playground and grabbed him but the boy was able to get away after hitting him with a stick. He then ran to a neighbor’s home for help.

The suspect is described as being around 6 feet tall with a medium build and wearing dark pants, a black hoodie and a black mask.
