NATCHITOCHES, La. (AP) - Northwestern State University has made a Reserve Officers Training Corps partnership with Louisiana College.

The Town Talk (https://townta.lk/1jbJIyF ) reports that the college in Pineville will open an affiliate ROTC program like the one in place for some time with Louisiana State University at Shreveport.

Andrew Magee, coordinator and assistant professor of criminal justice at Louisiana College, says students will take one Army ROTC class and lab per semester at Northwestern State.

Magee is working to get the program established in time for school in August.

He says Louisiana College used to have a ROTC agreement with Northwestern State, but dropped it because few students were joining.
