13 injured in Ga. deck collapse

STONE MOUNTAIN, Ga. (AP) - Nearly a dozen people were hospitalized after a deck collapsed during a party in suburban Atlanta.

Authorities say the collapse happened Saturday night at a house in Stone Mountain. Witnesses have said a grill that was on the deck when it collapsed slid and also burned several people.

DeKalb County fire Capt. Eric Jackson tells WGCL-TV subpar construction could have led to the collapse. Authorities say 13 people had minor to moderate injuries, but three refused treatment.
