The hero cat that saved a boy from a vicious dog attack is set to “throw out” the first pitch at a baseball game on Tuesday, May 20.
Tara the cat will kick off a Class A game between Bakersfield (reds) and Lancaster (Astros), CBS Sports reported Friday.
There is also a buy-one-get-one free ticket offer for anyone who donates pet food or toys.
The famous feline will, of course, have help from her family, including 4-year-old Jeremy Triantafilo, who was riding his bike in the family driveway when a neighbor’s dog attacked, clamping down on his leg and ripping him from his bike, prompting Tara to bolt at the dog.
A security camera captured the attack on film and the Youtube video has gone viral reaching over 18 million views.
