JACKSON, Miss. (AP) - The Federal Aviation Administration is giving the Gulfport-Biloxi International Airport $4.6 million to rehabilitate runway touchdown zones at the airport.

The discretionary grant was announced Friday.

The new money comes a week after the FAA announced $4.8 million in grants to 14 Mississippi airports to improve safety and operations.



Airports at Bay St. Louis, Belzoni, Belmont, Clarksdale, Columbia, Columbus, Corinth, the Golden Triangle, Grenada, Houston, Lexington, Madison, Okolona and Starkville received those Airport Improvement Program grants.
