PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) - U.S. Senate candidate Monica Wehby refused to talk to reporters about a police file showing a former boyfriend reported last year she was stalking him.
Wehby ignored questions from reporters as she was ushered out a side door following a debate in Portland on Friday.
Timber-company executive Andrew Miller called police last year saying Wehby repeatedly visited his home after they split and was harassing his staff after their split.
Miller said Friday that emotions were running high at the end of their relationship and that he regrets calling police.
Wehby is a pediatric neurosurgeon and the front-runner in Tuesday’s GOP primary. Miller is one of two donors behind a super PAC attacking Wehby’s rival, Jason Conger.
