WILLISTON, N.D. (AP) - The Williston Park Board says it has violated the state’s open meetings laws and has reported the errors to Attorney General Wayne Stenehjem.

The Williston Herald reports (https://bit.ly/1nY27jc) that the park board held a special meeting Friday to apologize for its actions and correct the mistakes.

Board president Joel Wilt read a statement acknowledging “procedural errors and miscommunication” and said the board took “immediate action to rectify the mistake.”

The errors included an illegal subcommittee meeting and issues that should not have been discussed in executive session.
