Lee County police seize nearly $65k in drugs

OPELIKA, Ala. (AP) - Police in Lee County have seized nearly $65,000 worth of illegal drugs in a traffic stop.

The Opelika-Auburn News (https://bit.ly/1j3cjG5 ) reports that 26-year-old Roslyn Renee Daniels was arrested Thursday and charged with trafficking marijuana and cocaine. She was being held at the Lee County Detention Facility on $100,000 bond. A phone listing for Daniels could not be located. It was not clear Friday whether she had an attorney.

Authorities said they stopped Daniels on Thursday morning along Interstate 85. Investigators said they found an estimated 50 pounds of marijuana and a half kilogram of cocaine during a search.
