SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (AP) - A North Adams man has been found guilty of three counts of first-degree murder and other charges in the 2011 slayings of three Pittsfield men.

A jury in Springfield convicted 47-year-old David Chalue (shuh-LOO’) on Friday afternoon, also finding him guilty of kidnapping and witness intimidation.

Jurors had told the judge Thursday they had verdict, but when they were individually polled, one said she didn’t agree. The judge denied a defense request for a mistrial, and the jurors returned to deliberations. The jurors said Friday they were now unanimous.

Chalue is being sentenced Monday.

Co-defendant Adam Lee Hall was convicted in February of the killings of David Glasser, Edward Frampton and Robert Chadwell. Prosecutors say they were killed to keep them from testifying against Hall in an assault case. A third co-defendant faces trial in September.
