DeSoto refuge to be closed to mushroom hunting

MISSOURI VALLEY, Iowa (AP) - DeSoto National Wildlife Refuge will be closed to mushroom hunting this Saturday and Sunday because of a turkey hunt.

Officials say the refuge roads, trails and visitor center will be open.

DeSoto sits north of Omaha, Nebraska, along U.S. Highway 30 between Missouri Valley, Iowa, and Blair, Nebraska.
