BRENTWOOD, N.H. (AP) - A family member of the man believed to have killed a New Hampshire police officer says he was a recluse who didn’t work and was cared for by his parents.

Brother-in-law Richard Florino tells the Portsmouth Herald (https://bit.ly/1gqNbdN) that Michael Nolan was “an adolescent basically living in a man’s body” who “never had any responsibilities.”

Nolan is believed to have fatally shot Officer Stephen Arkell in Brentwood on Monday before dying in a roaring house fire. His father, Walter Nolan, was outside the home when the shootings and fire happened.

Florino said Michael was one of six children who never married and lived with his parents. He had a daughter, who is now in her mid-20s.
