Pit bull attacks 2 adults, 4-year-old girl

WAGGAMAN, La. (AP) - A four-year-old girl and two women were bit by a 5-year-old female pit bull in Waggaman.

Jefferson Parish sheriff’s spokesman Col. John Fortunato says the girl suffered a broken arm in Wednesday’s incident while a 33-year-old woman was bit on her leg and a 37-year-old woman on the arm.

WWL-TV reports (https://bit.ly/1osj9Zj ) witnesses told investigators the child opened a door to a room where the dog was located with her puppies. The dog then came into the room with the women and girl and attacked. One of the women picked up the child and the dog bit the girl’s arm, breaking it.

All three victims were transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Jefferson Parish Animal Control took possession of the dog and her puppies.
