The Redskins kicked off Day 3 of the NFL draft by taking Clemson cornerback Bashaud Breeland with the second pick of Round 4.Â
Breeland is a rangy cover corner who also excels playing special teams and is good in run support.
Following an injury-riddled 2012 campaign, Breeland broke out in 2013 with four interceptions, five tackles for loss, two sacks and two forced fumbles.Â
It could be said that the Redskins got a slight bargain with the pick as many projected him to be a second- or third-round pick.Â
He was the 102nd overall pick of the draft. The Redskins have three more picks today, one each in rounds five, six, and seven.
