TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) - Tucson police have made an arrest in a midtown neighborhood shooting near the University of Arizona campus that left one man dead and another wounded.

Sgt. Pete Dugan said Friday officers arrested 29-year-old Sonny Jean the shooting at a university-area home.

Police say 28-year-old Victor Garcia was pronounced dead at the scene Thursday night while a 24-year-old man is still hospitalized with life-threatening injuries.

Dugan says the suspect and the victims knew each other and got into a fight at the home.

He says the fight continued outside and then Jean allegedly fired his gun, striking both men multiple times.

Police did not give a possible motive for the shooting.

Jean has been booked into Pima County Jail on one count each of second-degree murder and aggravated assault.
