WILLISTON, Vt. (AP) - A Vermont college is launching a new renewable energy program.

Vermont Technical College in Randolph will start the bachelor of science program in the fall of 2014, with help from a $120,000 donation from David Blittersdorf, president and CEO of AllEarth Renewables in Williston.

Officials said Thursday that the program will give students technical hands-on education in solar heating, wind power, biomass heating and other topics.
