CAYCE, S.C. (AP) - Volunteers from South Carolina Electric & Gas Co. are helping make homes more energy efficient for the summertime heat.
On Thursday, SCE&G is kicking of its spring “Weatherization Blitz.” Company employees and representatives from the Governor’s Office of Economic Opportunity and the Aiken/Barnwell Community Action Agency are helping weatherize five homes across the state.
Volunteers are starting Thursday with a home in Cayce. The work will include caulking, weather-stripping, painting and replacing doors and windows.
