GLENDALE, Ariz. (AP) - Glendale police are asking the public for help in tracking down a suspect in the fatal hit-and-run of a 62-year-old man.
Police said Wednesday they are trying to enhance surveillance video of a white SUV that reportedly struck Pete Rivas on Saturday around 11:30 p.m.
Police spokeswoman Tracey Breeden says Rivas was hit while walking in an unmarked crosswalk and the driver left him, stopping at a Circle K near 59th Avenue and Bethany Home Road.
Police say the driver is described as black, about 30 years old with a muscular build and short hair that is possibly braided.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Glendale police or Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS.
Police say the SUV had dark, tinted windows along with custom rims and tires.
