KODIAK, Alaska (AP) - Alaska State Troopers say a Kodiak man was arrested for assaulting officers who arrived at a home to arrest the man’s son.
The Anchorage Daily News reports (https://is.gd/1FUPqb ) both William Yovino, Sr. and William Yovino, Jr. were taken to Kodiak Jail and face multiple charges, including assault, reckless endangerment and resisting arrest.
Spokeswoman Beth Ipsen says two troopers were injured during the arrests Saturday. They were treated at Providence Kodiak Island Hospital and released.
Troopers say the father barricaded the door to keep out troopers when they tried to arrest his son in connection with two disturbances Friday night.
Ipsen said troopers forced their way inside the home. They were able to arrest the son, but a struggle ensued with the father.
