LARAMIE, Wyo. (AP) - Wyoming senior Mason Finley has qualified for the NCAA Indoor Championships in the shot put.
The championships will be held March 14-15.
Finley is competing in the national meet for the second time and is seeking his 10th overall All-America accolade.
Finley enters the meet ranked fourth in the event after notching a throw of 66-feet, 3 1/4 inches (20.20 meters) last month.
The throw broke UW’s school and facility record, a feat Finley accomplished twice during the season.
Finley has won all seven shot put competitions he has entered this season and thrown more than 62 feet in each.
Recently, Finley won his second-straight shot put title at the 2014 Mountain West Indoor Championships last weekend in Albuquerque.
