WASHINGTON (AP) - D.C. United defender Chris Korb is expected to miss two to three weeks after having surgery on his left knee.

United said Wednesday that Korb had a procedure to repair cartilage in the knee.

Korb started 30 games for United last year, his third season in MLS.



United open their season Saturday against the Columbus Crew.
