MANITOWOC, Wis. (AP) - A Manitowoc County judge has refused to lower bail for a man accused in a fatal drunken driving crash.

Twenty-year-old Codi Olson waived his right to a preliminary hearing in court Monday afternoon and entered pleas of not guilty in the crash that killed Derek Waterman. The 26-year-old man was killed in a two-vehicle crash on Highway 10 in Manitowoc Rapids Feb. 16.

Defense attorney John Bilka asked that Olson’s $5,000 bail be cut in half because he wasn’t a flight risk. HTR Media (https://htrne.ws/1jMZxdG ) says Judge Gary Bendix rejected that request.
