HARRISBURG, Pa. (AP) - Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Corbett says he’s feeling “great” five days after undergoing surgery to repair an abdominal hernia.

Corbett said at a news conference Tuesday in Harrisburg that he spent four days in his home in the Pittsburgh suburb of Shaler.

Corbett says he’s glad to have the medical issue resolved. The procedure was considered a success.

Lt. Gov. Jim Cawley briefly assumed the governor’s duties until Corbett emerged from anesthesia.

The 64-year-old Corbett says his wife Susan “played nurse” and wouldn’t let him out of the house until Monday.
