PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) - A Connecticut man has been indicted on a murder charge in a double shooting in Providence last year.

The Providence Journal reports (https://bit.ly/1hP2vLo ) that Jason King of New Haven, Conn., is accused of killing Luis Aquino and shooting Jonathan Garcia outside a bar on Nov. 4.

Providence police say the 20-year-old King and another New Haven man, Lloyd Streater, met with the two Providence men that night. Police say a drug deal ended with King opening fire on Aquino and Garcia.

A Providence County grand jury charged King on Friday with murder, assault with a dangerous weapon and discharging a firearm while committing a crime of violence.

It was not known Sunday if he’s represented by a lawyer.

Streater is held without bail on murder, conspiracy to commit robbery and other charges.
