VICKSBURG, Miss. (AP) - Authorities in Vicksburg say a teenager was wounded in a drive-by shooting Saturday evening.
Police Chief Walter Armstrong tells The Vicksburg Post (https://bit.ly/1fBZqwp ) the shooting happened at about 6 p.m. on South Street.
Armstrong would not release the identity of the victim but said the 16-year-old was taken to the University of Mississippi Medical Center with a gunshot wound to the abdomen.
Investigators say at least two shots were fired from a maroon car. At least three males were in the vehicle, Armstrong says.
Police are searching for suspects.
