FRANKFORT, Ky. (AP) - Kentucky lawmakers have canceled their Monday session due to the winter storm.

The House and Senate were scheduled to reconvene Monday afternoon at the Capitol in Frankfort, but hazardous road conditions prompted the cancellation. Both chambers are now scheduled to reconvene Tuesday afternoon.

The General Assembly’s 60-day session will be two-thirds complete later this week.

The National Weather Service says some parts of Kentucky received up to 4 inches of snow.

Roadways were slick and snow-covered in many areas Monday.

Kentucky State Police urged motorists to use caution while traveling and keep a watch out for stranded drivers.
