IOWA CITY, Iowa (AP) - A bridge in Iowa City has reopened after a semitrailer carrying 48,000 pounds of cream overturned.

Iowa City police say the eastbound side of the Burlington Street Bridge reopened Monday morning after the vehicle was moved.

The Iowa City Press-Citizen reports (https://icp-c.com/1fWbiOr ) the truck overturned on its side Sunday night. Iowa City Police Sgt. Vicki Lalla says eastbound traffic was closed as the driver tried to retrieve the 48,000 pounds of cream inside the vehicle.



No injuries were reported. Additional information about the crash has not been released.
