DOVER, Tenn. (AP) - A special program on Fort Henry and its impact on the Civil War is being offered next weekend at Land Between The Lakes.

Period images and maps will show visitors about the site and its legacy with historian Susan “Ski” Witzofsky. The event is scheduled for 1 p.m. CST Saturday at the Homeplace theater.

At 3 p.m. on the same day, a guided walk will take place beginning at the Fort Henry Trail parking area.



The program is free with Homeplace admission, which is $5 for adults, $3 for children and free for anyone younger than 5.

The program and walk celebrate the 152nd anniversary of the Battle of Fort Henry.
