SEATTLE (AP) - The National Weather Service says Seattle has already logged the wettest March since record-keeping started back in the 1890s - and more rain is forecast through Monday.
Meteorologist Jeff Michalski said the rainfall total as of Friday evening was 8.87 inches for the month.
The wettest previous March at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport was in 1950, when 8.40 inches fell.
Michalski says precipitation records have been kept at Sea-Tac since 1945.
Records kept at the downtown Seattle federal building date back to the early 1890s.
