IUKA, Miss. (AP) - Christie Holly has been named superintendent of the Tishomingo County School District.
District officials tell the Northeast Mississippi Daily Journal (https://bit.ly/1hCRBZ6 ) that Holly will begin the job on July 1.
For the past year, Holly has served as the school district’s director of curriculum and testing. She will fill the position being vacated when Superintendent Benny McClung retires June 30.
Holly previously was principal of Iuka Middle School for three years and assistant principal there. She received National Board Certification in early adolescence/generalist in 2002.
Holly earned her bachelor’s degree from Mississippi State University in English education and her master’s degree in educational leadership.
