Man killed crossing highway near NYC’s LaGuardia

NEW YORK (AP) - A 31-year-old Queens man is dead after he was hit by two cars while trying to cross the Grand Central parkway.

The Daily News reports (https://nydn.us/P4bT73 ) the accident happened late Friday near LaGuardia Airport.

Fidel Vidal Diaz was trying to cross the busy highway when he was hit by a 2005 Mustang and then a 2002 Volkswagen.

Diaz was killed by the impact. The newspaper reports that he was decapitated.

The drivers of both cars remained at the scene. They were not charged.
