WORCESTER, Mass. (AP) - One of the three men charged in connection with a drug-related double slaying in Worcester three years ago has pleaded guilty to a manslaughter charge.
Bobby Tran had faced a murder charge in connection with the April 2011 shootings that police said was a drug deal gone awry.
The Telegram & Gazette (https://bit.ly/1lqYTpw ) reports that the 22-year-old Tran was sentenced to up to 20 years in prison after pleading guilty to the lesser charge Thursday in Worcester Superior Court.
Police say 20-year-old Victor Estrella of Framingham and 21-year-old Moises Nazario of Worcester were killed after the suspects thought they were being ripped off. Police say Tran used a stun gun on at least one victim.
The alleged shooter awaits trial. A third suspect pleaded guilty to manslaughter earlier this month.
