ANN ARBOR, Mich. (AP) - The latest novel from Michigan author Laura Kasischke (kuh-ZIS’-kee) has been released.
“Mind of Winter” came out this week.
It combines domestic drama with elements of psychological suspense and horror.
It’s about a woman who adopted her daughter from Russia 13 years ago beginning to notice that the teenager’s behavior is becoming increasingly erratic and frightening.
Kasischke was raised in Grand Rapids and lives in Chelsea. She’s a literature professor at the University of Michigan.
In addition to her work as a novelist, Kasischke also received a National Book Critics Circle Award for Poetry in 2012.
