HERMISTON, Ore. (AP) - Police arrested a 17-year-old boy they say is responsible for a spree of graffiti vandalism in Eastern Oregon.
Hermiston police Chief Jason Edmiston says in a written statement that investigators believe the boy is responsible for three acts of graffiti in Hermiston, more than a dozen incidents in Boardman and numerous more in Arlington.
The East Oregonian newspaper reports (https://is.gd/596L9w ) that Morrow County sheriff’s deputies found the teen Wednesday and booked him into the juvenile detention facility in The Dalles.
Hermiston detective Randy Studebaker questioned the teen there and cited him for vandalism.
The police chief says Studebaker also interviewed the “rather uncooperative” mother of the teen in Arlington, and issued her a citation for failure to supervise.
