TIVERTON, R.I. (AP) - A teenager has been arrested after a bomb threat was found written on a piece of toilet paper in a bathroom at Tiverton High School.
Police have charged 18-year-old Alexander Wahl with threatening to place a bomb in a public building, which is a felony. He was arrested last week after the threat was found after the school day had ended on March 17.
Authorities say the note warned that there would be a bomb in the school on Nov. 19. The building was evacuated and authorities later deemed it safe after not finding any explosives.
Wahl posted $10,000 bail. He and his lawyer didn’t immediately return messages seeking comment Thursday.
