PUTNAM, Conn. (AP) - Connecticut State police are investigating the death of a 2 ½-year-old child in Putnam.
Emergency personnel went to a home where a child was reported to be in medical distress just after noon on Wednesday. The child was taken to a local hospital and pronounced dead shortly after being admitted.
State Police were asked to investigate by Putnam police and the Windham County State’s Attorney. An autopsy will be performed to determine the cause of death.
The child’s name has not been released.
