PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) - A police spokesman says a man in his 60s was stabbed in the head Wednesday night in southwest Portland.

The man was taken to a hospital. Sgt. Pete Simpson says the injury was not believed to be life-threatening.

Officers took a male suspect in his 20s into custody. Simpson says the younger man was suffering from an unknown medical issue and was treated at the scene.

The spokesman says initial information indicates the stabbing happened inside a parked car.

No additional details were available late Wednesday.
