LA GRANDE, Ore. (AP) - A sergeant in the Oregon National Guard who had sex with a 15-year-old girl last summer has been sentenced to 60 days in jail.
The La Grande Observer newspaper (https://is.gd/Q1dNq3 ) reports that 35-year-old Jeremy Lee Flannery of Elgin pleaded guilty to third-degree sodomy and third-degree rape - and he got 30 days for each crime. Other charges were dismissed in the plea agreement.
An Oregon Military Department spokesman says the department has been tracking the case and it anticipates Flannery will be discharged from the National Guard.
