BILLINGS, Mont. (AP) - A Billings woman and her adult daughter have been given deferred sentences for staging a robbery last summer at an adult bookstore where they worked.

The Billings Gazette reports (https://bit.ly/1hnKFiq ) District Judge Russell Fagg gave 42-year-old Dawna Kranzler a four-year deferred sentence for felony theft and six days in jail for making a false report to law enforcement.

Also Tuesday, Fagg gave 20-year-old Kayla Brist a three-year deferred sentence for theft and a suspended jail sentence for false reports. He ordered both women to pay restitution.

Court records say Kranzler called police to the store last June where officers found Brist bound to a chair. The women said a robber took money, computers and other items.

Charging documents say $3,800 in cash was taken. The owner reported a loss of nearly $7,400.
