ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) - The owners of two popular Anchorage restaurants have acquired the property and building that once housed a longtime Mexican restaurant.
The Anchorage Daily News (https://is.gd/J0mXoN) says the business that owns Moose’s Tooth Pub and Pizzeria, as well as Bear Tooth Theatrepub and Bear Tooth Grill, purchased the old La Mex property at Spenard Road in December.
La Mex shut a down in mid-December after being in business for more than 40 years.
Dave Caldwell works with Moose’s Tooth owners Matt Jones and Rod and Warren Hancock, whose business also includes a brewing company.
Caldwell says there are no firm plans yet for the Spenard property.
