GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (AP) - Parts of Michigan are getting snow as forecasters also keep an eye on rivers in the state for flooding.
Snow fell Tuesday in parts of the Lower Peninsula, including Grand Rapids and Detroit, and slippery roads led to Lansing- and Flint-area crashes.
Up to an inch is expected in the Detroit area. Detroit has seen its second-snowiest winter season on record, with 90.7 inches falling. The record is 93.6 inches set in 1880-1881. Flint has seen 82.3 inches, approaching its record of 82.9 inches set in 1974-1975.
The weather service says minor flooding is expected along parts of the Grand River in Kent and Ionia counties. Flooding is possible along the Kalamazoo River in Kalamazoo and Allegan counties as well as the Red Cedar River in the East Lansing area.
