FOREST PARK, Ill. (AP) - A large crowd of mourners is expected to attend a funeral for a Chicago police officer who was killed on his way home from work earlier this month.

WLS-TV reports (https://bit.ly/1gYoG4Y ) services will be held Monday morning in Forest Park for 42-year-old David Harris Jr.

He was off duty when his car was hit by a vehicle involved in a high-speed police chase on March 14.



A suburban Chicago woman is charged with first-degree murder and is being held on $10 million bond for the crash.

WLS reports Harris’ funeral will be held at 11:30 a.m. at the Living Word Christian Center. His obituary says burial will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Hillside.

Visitation was Sunday in Oak Lawn.
