STONY POINT, N.Y. (AP) - The body of a man who had been missing for nine days was found in Harriman State Park in New York by a hiker.
The Journal News (https://lohud.us/1dG68C0 ) says Peretz Sontag, of Pomona, was discovered in his car Sunday after it apparently went over a ravine.
Rockland County Legislator Aron Wieder says Sontag’s body was found after the family had asked searchers to comb the area again.
The father of seven children was found near Lake Welch Road.
Wieder says authorities don’t expect foul play in Sontag’s death.
