ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) - Alaska State Troopers say a prisoner flight from Togiak to Dillingham almost got a lot more dangerous.
The Anchorage Daily News reports (https://is.gd/fhUr9E ) the man arrested in Togiak nearly slipped his restraints and disrupted the flight. State troopers say his actions on board landed 28-year-old George Arkanakyak Jr. a new charge, a misdemeanor charge of reckless endangerment.
He was originally arrested and charged Wednesday with domestic assault after an incident with a woman at a residence in the Southwest Alaska village.
During preparation for the flight, he said he wanted to die and would make the plane crash. Troopers say that during the flight, he disrupted his restraints and an officer had to subdue him onboard.
