AUGUSTA, Maine (AP) - Republican Gov. Paul LePage’s administration says a Maine pellet manufacturing facility will get a major upgrade and 18 new jobs.
The Department of Economic and Community Development says Corinth Pellets will invest as much as $7 million in the Penobscot County mill.
LePage officials say they’ve been working closely with the company on the expansion.
The governor says the company “is an excellent example of how a staple Maine industry can thrive when provided the tools to be competitive.”
The pellet facility in Corinth has been operating since 2007.
