CRYSTAL MOUNTAIN, Wash. (AP) - A spokeswoman for Crystal Mountain ski resort says a 67-year-old Lakewood, Wash., man died Friday while skiing. Spokeswoman Tiana Enger says the man may have suffered a heart attack.
The News Tribune reports (https://is.gd/U7SgPx ) that the ski patrol got a call early Friday afternoon that a skier had collapsed and was unresponsive. Patrol members responded and started advanced life support.
Enger says the man was declared dead at 1 p.m. He was not immediately identified but was described as a former member of Crystal Mountain’s volunteer safety patrol.
The spokeswoman says he had been skiing with friends.
