LAS VEGAS (AP) - A man accused of firing a gun near the head of a Thunder From Down Under performer during a backstage robbery attempt is due to face a judge in Las Vegas.

Joey Kadmiri is scheduled for a court appearance Friday on felony attempted murder, armed robbery, burglary and weapon charges stemming from the confrontation late Tuesday at the Excalibur Hotel and Casino.

No one was wounded, but a member of the Australia-based men’s dance revue was treated for minor face injuries after the fight involving Kadmiri and a group of muscled male dancers.

Kadmiri was hospitalized with a black eye and bruises.

Kadmiri also faces kidnapping, assault with a deadly weapon, coercion and battery charges in a November domestic violence case.
