BOISE, Idaho (AP) - A 36-year-old Boise man police say battered a 60-year-old woman, damaged her home, rammed her car with his car and then rammed a police car while trying to get away has been taken into custody.

Garden City police say they had to use pepper spray and a stun gun to subdue Brian Duffy at about 6 p.m. Wednesday.

Duffy is being held in the Ada County Jail and charges of misdemeanor battery, resisting and obstructing arrest, felony malicious injury to property, and aggravated assault on a police officer.



Police and Duffy didn’t sustain injuries.

Police say the woman had visible injuries, but didn’t say whether she sought medical attention.

Police are investigating the relationship between Duffy and the woman.
